Some Nostalgia:
Things have changed drastically in the short time I have worked in the business. Not too long ago when there was no HD, editing was linear in a control room or with an edit controller, and before the internet even existed my journey started. Early automated master controls running SP Betas, fixing the late night SportsCenter for the morning re-air with a 1” machine, and trying to send a decent picture to viewers with 56k dial-up modems were all part of my early experiences. The most important thing I have learned is to never stop learning! I pride myself on keeping my technical and operational skills sharp by researching new gear and techniques to stay at the cutting edge of the video production industry.
